Tick Tock.....

.....is the new challenge over at the That's Crafty Challenge blog. So.....tick tock equals time.........equals a chance to use one of my favourite stamps......the Time Traveller from Tim Holtz....

...started with a stamped background of clocks using a Kaisercraft stamp, coloured it with blended distress ink and then added a die cut clock and the Time Traveller figure.

Another little look....

....at the new dies and stamps that Sheena Douglass will be launching on Create and Craft tomorrow live from the CHA. I've used one of the scenic stamps along with the tree stamp and matching die for this sample.....

And for this one one of the frame stamp and die combinations along with the bird stamp, Cut the frame twice on this one so I could off-set it and give it a slight shadow effect....

I've used dies before to cut craft foam in order to create a home made stamp but when I tried it with these I also discovered that got enough of an embossed effect that it was picked up when you apply ink.......makes a fab silhouette stamp.  I love to get more than one use from my crafting stuff. Not a proper sample card here but a technique board, you get the idea though (did the same thing to get the branch and leaves).....

Exciting new launch on it's way....

....from Sheena Douglass. She'll be doing a show on Create and Craft on Monday at 3pm live from the CHA in California where she'll be launching not just a lovely new range of stamps but co-ordinating dies to go with them! The whole range has a lovely countryside feel with a mixture of flowers, birds, animals and even a lovely vintage tractor thrown in for good measure.

This is done using the bird stamp with matching die plus the branch and leaf stamps and dies. The cute little bird table is also one of the new stamps.

This next one uses matching flower stamps and dies along with one of the field scenic stamps, all combined to make a pretty calender for the coming year....

I'll be back in a couple of days with another little sneaky peek for you.  These are so much fun to play with, if you can be sure to catch the show.

Country View Challenges....

....has a challenge of 'Something New' for the month of January, for my first piece I used the new eBrush and I've done the same for this second piece but with a totally different look from the first make.

Again I stamped all the images first (apart from the swirls) I've used some Sheena Douglass stamps but you could use any scenic silhouette stamps.  Then using the eBrush and Spectrum Noir pens I created my background, starting with the yellows and building up the dark colours.

I stamped the swirls in black and then overstamped using white gesso, before mounting everything up onto a card blank.

Blue is the Colour.....

....is the first theme of 2015 over at That's Crafty Challenges.....the challenge runs for two weeks and there is a chance to win a £20 voucher so it's worth popping over to join in the fun if you get the chance.

I've used an IndigoBlu stamp along with a Kaisercraft quote stamp for my blue offering (with a touch of yellow!)

New Year, New Challenge.......

....over on Country View Challenges to use something new......I was lucky enough to be given one of the new eBrushes to play with recently so that seems to fit the bill nicely :)

I've gone with a nice clean and simple look for this card, started off by stamping the butterfly and the wording and then got out the eBrush and Spectrum Noir pens to add the colour.  I wanted a rainbow type of effect so I concentrated the colour from the centre of the butterfly and let the colour 'blow' outwards...
