Welcome to the Creative Expressions August 2014 Blog Hop! Hopefully you got here from Kim's blog but if you didn't here's the start at the Creative Expressions News Blog!
These new Christmas designs from the Singles Range at Creative Expressions, include seven different stamps. As you will see from the samples made for the Blog Hop, they do not just have to be used as they are but can be altered and interchanged to give lots of different options.
One randomly selected person commenting on this blog post before the closing date will win the following fabulous prize, which includes some of the new stamp designs.
For my project, I used the Merry Christmas stamp……..
I started out by taking the Fern Background stamp and stamping and then embossing it in gold onto a piece of white card and then I repeated the process to give myself two stamped background panels.
Can't have them looking all white and plain......they need colour! So colour they got in the form of Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. Using some Cut 'n' Dry foam I started off with the lemon, in the centre of the piece then moved onto the wild honey and finally the ripe persimmon on the outside and then finally a quick rub over the whole thing again with the lemon.
Once I was happy with the colour I mounted both panels onto a pieces of gold satin card, then mounted these onto a card blank.
Then to create the centre topper panel I stamped and embossed the Merry Christmas twice onto some white card. Trimmed and mounted one of them and placed on top of the background panels.
From the other stamped panel I cut out the Poinsettia and the small floral panel at the top, painted them with distress ink and glued them in place, decoupage style, using some 3d glue gel.
Then to finish I added a nice bow to the left of the topper using some sheer ribbon.
Thanks for visiting my blog, don't forget to leave a comment below in order to be in with a chance of winning a prize!
